Dr. Paul George Loves Advancing His Dentistry Skills
At an early age, Dr. Paul George loved to build models and work with his hands. During his childhood, his parents encouraged him to seek a career that would utilize those skills. He first started to learn about dentistry as a teenager when he joined a Scouting Explorers group with a friend. Through those meetings, he decided to make dentistry his career choice.
Dr. George took his first step toward his goal when he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, summa cum laude, with his bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Then he received his dental degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Later, he completed a General Practice Residency program at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
To build on his passion for dentistry, Dr. George has completed many continuing education courses. It has helped him learn about different technologies and treatments in dentistry, including dental implants, advanced restorative and aesthetic techniques, and how to treat sleep apnea with oral appliances. To keep up with current innovations in dentistry, he participates in study groups with other dentists and specialists monthly.
Dr. George is an attending in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Robert Wood Johnson/Barnabas Medical Center in New Brunswick. While there, he volunteers his time to teach residents the skills that he has learned over the years. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association, The New Jersey Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, and The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. George’s hobbies include photography, traveling, bicycling, and reading. He enjoys listening to all genres of music, going to concerts, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He enjoys learning about classic cars as well.
